NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Charles’ person has recently passed away.  Eleven-year old Charles is not dog and cat friendly but loves his people.   He will not bark at a dog now if they are on the other side of the road but may lunge if close contact. He loves cuddles but is also independent and will take himself out through the dog door to sit and enjoy the sun. Once he is settled he is well house trained and can safely be left to pass the morning away, however he is not used to being all day on his own.

He likes being carried and sitting on your lap but is not keen on being bathed. He’s great being handled at the vet and is a fun and obedient boy.

Charles Is very food-oriented and this will make him easy to train if someone has the time. Show him a treat and he can focus.

Do you have the patience and love to give Charles, this older gentleman, a home?  Promise you will get such a lot back.

Medical Notes:

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
