NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Welcome to the Pocket Rocket that is Daisy! Should you be chosen as her human, be prepared for much laughter, love and fun.
Daisy is almost a year old and is a typical puppy. She came into care through an emergency rehoming with her mum. It’s recommended they are separated, as Daisy’s pre-teen behaviour becomes a bit much for her mum at times.

Daisy came into foster with no house training and no understanding of commands. Despite this, she picked up house training in a matter of days and got the hang of the dog door immediately. Since she has been with her foster pawrents she has learned how to be a part of the pack. She responds well to positive reinforcement and praise, and in a short amount of time has become a superstar on walks. She even lies down before being allowed to eat her food! She does throw the odd toddler tantrum when she loses a toy or a treat under the couch, and needs her human’s help.

Daisy is super-smart and a quick learner. She has been working one on one with a trainer and her foster humans on recall, heeling, and loose lead walking. She would benefit from continued training leading to a structured environment to encourage socialisation. Daisy is an absolute love bug with enough cuddles for all her humans.

Daisy’s ideal family would have the time to dedicate to basic training so she understands her role in the household.  She is comfortable in her current home living with her mum and with further socialization could happily share her home with another dog.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
