NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Lexi is the sweetest, most endearing girl.

She has settled well into foster care and her foster mum calls her: “the cutest little bean”.

She is quiet and calm, good with other dogs and loves being picked up and snuggled. She also enjoys getting out and about on her walks, sniffing the world around her and having polite interactions with all dogs she meets on her way. Occasionally she stops and won’t go further, but as Lexi weighs 5kg that is easily solved by picking her up and giving her a cuddle all the way home.

Lexi likes to supervise when you are cooking in the kitchen to make sure anything that falls on the floor is cleaned up appropriately. She also enjoys daily yoga (she’s particularly good at salute to the sun) and relaxing on the couch or outside in the sunshine when it’s a nice day.

House training and basic commands are a work in progress, and she always requires inside/outside access.

Lexi would suit a home with someone around most of the time. She is great with other (calm/quiet/older) dogs that have a similar temperament to her own. She is okay on her own, but much prefers doggie company and prefers to have her humans around as she LOVES them. She would not be suitable around young children as she is a very fragile girl.

Lexi is untested with cats.

Thank you to Jeanette Pritchard for the beautiful photos of Lexi.

Medical Notes:  Lexi is from the pound and currently her health issues are being treated.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
