Meet Max – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever Home
Max is new to our care, and already he’s melted every heart he’s met. This gorgeous boy is a gentle, calm presence who just wants a peaceful place to call home. Described by his foster family as “an incredibly sweet dog,” Max is one of those souls who doesn’t ask for much – just love, kindness, and a comfy spot to rest his paws.
Still a little unsure of the world, Max is quite passive by nature and would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can feel safe and secure. He enjoys his daily walks – nothing too long – just enough to keep his steps up and let him sniff around and say hello to a few canine friends. He’s very friendly and polite with other dogs he meets out and about.
Max is getting a little older now, and while his hearing and eyesight aren’t what they used to be, it hasn’t dulled his sweet nature or his appreciation for the simple things in life.
His ideal home?
A loving, secure environment with a single-story layout and minimal steps – somewhere he can relax and enjoy his golden years surrounded by kindness.
If you’ve got room in your heart (and home) for a gentle boy like Max, he’s ready to give you all the love he has left to give.

Medical Notes: Max Quinnell is on pimobendane for his heart after seeing a cardiologist. He also has a cough that we are investigating not related to his heart.
All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
