NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Ricky is a lovely Irish Wolfhound cross who spent his first 18 months tied to a tree in the front yard. He currently has severe separation anxiety and we will be putting him on meds for anxiety when he leaves the kennels.  He will want to follow you everywhere – and we mean everywhere.

Ricky does  very well with meeting people and other dogs when out for walks and was fine with household visitors.

He is good with dogs that will play with him but may not be suitable for dogs that like their peace and quiet. He wasn’t sufficiently socialised which is understandable when you consider his past life and misses a few signals.

Ricky just needs his chance. Please help him. He is safe in kennels but it is not allowing him to progress. We will work with you to help Ricky be the dog he should be.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
