NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

The lucky person/family who adopts this sweet girl are going to be rewarded with a bundle of love and a shadow.

Tilley settled into her foster home exceptionally quickly, making herself at home from the get go. Let’s just say she believed that the human bed was hers pretty quickly, and you will often walk in the room to find only her nose or bum hanging out from the doona cocoon she has made for herself. Sooo a house that will allow dogs on the bed would be a 10/10 score from Tilley, but she would compromise to a pretty comfy dog bed which had luxuries of pillows and a blanket to snuggle in to, or even the couch.

Tilley is super chilled, and typical Greyhound style, loves to be curled up next to you wherever you are. Don’t be completely fooled though by her age, as the kelpie in her means she has still got some energy to burn. While it isn’t going for marathon runs, she loves a 3-4km walk at a time, or a run around at the oval either playing fetch or running around with other dogs. Currently she is getting morning and night exercise, or one decent stint if the weather is too horrible, but she isn’t opposed to walking in the rain.

She loves her food, but is by no means food aggressive, and will let you pick up her bowl and pat her while eating, and will often walk away from her bowl if you aren’t in eye sight. She has a funny habit of picking up her bowl and putting it on her bed once the good stuff has been eaten, which usually ends up with a dry food trail along the floor, so we wouldn’t say she is the neatest of eaters.

We have met many dogs while in foster care, ranging from small to big, and young to older. Tilley believes any dog or person that she sees is a friend she wants to meet. She has been great with all introductions out and about, but if a young pup doesn’t respect her personal space and gets up in her grill, she will tell them off.
With this is mind, we believe her ideal home would be with a fellow senior or a respectful play mate who understands when play time is and when it’s time to chill out.

She has met kids briefly at the oval playing football, and she had a blast running to meet them before playing the piggy in the middle.

Tilley is well behaved, and has the basics down pat; sit, go back and even a shake. Come/ recall is a work in progress, as that can be on her time when the world offers her some exciting distractions.
Loose lead training is a work in progress.

Tilley travels well in the back seat, and does enjoy the rush of fresh air with her head sticking out the window.

The funniest of all is when the young lady gets super excited, when it’s walk time, you come home from work or there are people to meet, she is like a dog on 4 springs and jumps vertically on the spot out of excitement!
