NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Breed: Greyhound Kelpie cross
DOB: 14/10/2014
Weight: tbc
Location: Kinglake

The lucky person/family who adopts this sweet girl are going to be rewarded with a bundle of love. You give her a little and she gives you lots back!

Tilley has settled into her foster home exceptionally quickly, making herself at home from the get go. (A liver treat or two upon meeting may have helped win the way to her heart.) Tilley is super chilled, and typical Greyhound style, loves to be curled up next to you and will sleep the day away.

She is an absolute character and we believe she thinks she is part human. You ask her to go to bed and she will jump onto your bed and nuzzle her way under the doona. Sometimes you will find only her nose or backside poking out. Her other favourite, curled up on the couch.

Tilley is well behaved, and has the basics down pat; sit, go back and even a shake. Come/ recall is a work in progress. As much as she loves to sleep, Tilleys love to go out for a walk each day and to sniff her surroundings. Loose lead training is a work in progress, so will require a firm handler. Lucky she loves her treats though, so this should make training quite easy.

Tilley also enjoys a game of fetch, and when in the mood, will bring it back and drop it in your hands. Tilley travels well in the back seat, and does enjoy the rush of fresh air with her head out the window.

Tilley is quite a carefree kinda girl, but is wary and will stiffen when faced with confronting dogs, and will stand her ground if a dog gets too much. So at this stage, another chilled / submissive playmate or a solo dog home would be her ideal situation.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
