NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Vintage is a sweet soul who is brand new into foster care and just beginning to settle into his new world. As he learns the rhythms of his foster home and what’s expected of him, he’s taking everything in with a gentle, open heart.
Vintage is currently recovering from an injury, so there have been some limits on what we can observe about him just yet. Even so, in the short time we’ve had the pleasure of knowing him, he has shown himself to be a friendly, and easygoing boy. He truly loves human company and seems happiest when he’s close to his people.
He enjoys going for walks and lights up with excitement when he realises it’s time to head out. Vintage is getting along well with his foster sibling, though as it’s still early days, he hasn’t yet been tested with other dogs.
Vintage’s ideal forever home would be one filled with love, patience, and inclusion — a family who enjoys a dog that wants to be near them and part of everyday life. He’s looking for people who will give him plenty of affection, make him feel safe and cherished, and welcome him as a true member of the family.

Health: Vintage has had BOAS surgery and now breathes so easily.  But unfortunately  he still has skin and ear issues.  He has had an haematoma removed surgically and another ear flush while he waits for an otoscopy in August.  He can be adopted by the right person willing to care for him.  VicDRG will pay the costs to get the ears as healthy as we can.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
