Sweet Humphrey had been dealing with quite a few health problems. He had lots of love in the last months of his life and his carer went in to be with him and say goodbye.

I’m sorry Humphrey. We don’t always get the happy ending that we hope for. But we kept our promise to you when you came to us, unwanted, from the pound. We treated you as we would our own pet and we did our best for you. You broke another piece of our heart but we will do it again for yet another abandoned oldie.
