“Little Indy came to us as 3 year old Spike from Mildura in 2008. He had come from an abusive home and his adopters were amazing with him. He did escape once soon after arrival and our terrific volunteers went out searching for this terrified little dog. Just as we were about to give up for the evening he was found clinging to a bush on the side of the railway line. He went on to have many many happy years.

August 2023 – Just a short note to let you know we farewelled our beautiful little Indy dog yesterday. He was happy and doing well and loved farm life, walking with us every day and happily hanging out with Leo, Hadley, the horses and the chickens.

He went off his food Saturday/Sunday and declined very quickly overnight Sunday, on Monday morning he couldn’t stand and just wanted to stay in his bed, he was tired and worn out and heartbreakingly we knew his time had come. A visit to the vet confirmed our fears and we wouldn’t let him suffer, he’s now at peace.

We loved him and we miss so much, we will alway be grateful to you for coaching us through the early days. We can’t imagine not to have had him our lives.”
