Then Venetia, she came to us from the pound in 2019, aged six.
Lili Anne went on her forever sleep last night. We are heart broken. We’ve woken up this morning without our little girl. She was having heart and kidney failure plus the cancer. We tried lots of tests and medication which gave us a little longer with her but it got to the stage where the vets could do no more. Lili was telling us too that she was sick.
We had our farewell and Lili lay on Doug’s lap with me patting her in her favourite place, at the back of her little soft neck and ears and she went so peacefully. She has left a massive hole in our heart.
Lili Anne was the dearest little girl and we love her. She gave us such delight and purpose each day to look after her and enjoy our lives. She repaid us by looking after us.
No other will ever replace Lili Anne, the same as Gypsy Rose was never replaced. But it’s so lonely without our Lili Anne.
