My Lucy girl came to me as a foster, but quickly became an integral part of our furkids family, and for the last 6 years was a special mother hen to several foster sisters and brothers, helping them settle in and feel secure.

In the middle of 2024, it was discovered that she had several lesions on her liver and pancreas, and the focus was on supporting her health and keep her comfortable for as long as we could.

Lucy spent her last months closely comforted by her sister Bella, they always slept together and groomed each other right until the last day.

Lucy rapidly went downhill and it was my privilege to hold and comfort her as she slipped peacefully across the 🌈, to be reunited with members of her pack who had gone before. We miss you, Lucy girl…..
