“Saved from Mornington Pound, Mac came to us in 2014. He was about 6 years old. He was very unsure, but very willing to learn our house rules. Seems he had not been taught any rules. He was a very quick learner, as he loved getting a treat. Mac LOVED food and would do anything for a treat.

Mac also had the challenge of being an ‘allergy’ dog. This entailed many vet visits, injections, creams etc. He loved the vet, as he got to get treats. His allergies were a challenge for us, but we all managed.

His other passion was balls. He was obsessed with balls. We kept his balls in a cupboard, as he would eat them. He would tell us to get him a ball. The Grandies loved him. Loved to throw his balls as he would return it and wait for them to throw it again. He became the ball finder. He would be sent to find all the lost balls at our Grandies house. He always found the difficult to find ones.

Mac also loved to be very very warm when he went to bed. Took me a while to sort a suitable method. Ended up cutting a sleeping bag in half and wrapping half under his bed and the top half. He would wrap it around himself, with just his nose sticking out. Then he was happy. In summer he had a sheet.

He was a very good vacuum. Sneaking into the kitchen to vacuum up crumbs etc that had fallen to the floor. He loved other dogs and loved playing chasy. Did I say he loved cuddles and more cuddles? We have many more stories and adventures with Mac.

We sadly had to say good bye to Mac in January 2023. He had Lymphoma. We miss him every day.”
