This morning our beautiful Tara left us. She passed quickly in Mandy’s arms surrounded by her family. Tara came to us from VicDRG around 10 years ago to join our family and as a companion for our other dog, Dusty. Not long after she joined us I moved to Phillip Island for work. I had to live alone so Dusty and Tara came with me for company. They were both wonderful support. However today, upon Tara’s passing, I had somewhat of an epiphany. I realised that Tara, whilst a great support for me, was also an enormous support for Dusty, whom I do not believe could have lived as a solitary dog. Tara made it possible for us to live successfully on the island. Without her, life down here, would simply not have worked. Thank you for all the support, laughs and love beautiful girl.
I believe that when a member of our fur family passes, they take part of our soul with them, leaving a hole. I also believe that they leave a part of their soul behind to fill that hole, and thus we carry them with us through the rest of our lives.
Our hearts are broken Tara.
We love you and will miss and think of you every day.
Run and swim free our sweet girl.xo
