Rusty was an unclaimed stray from a city pound at 9 years of age. He hadn’t been to the vet for some time but had obviously been well loved in the past. Surely not another where when a family member dies they take the dog to the pound and say he is a ‘stray’ or even worse just leave the gate open to find their own way. This happens just so often.
I thought you all might enjoy an update on Rusty, it’s been a while, I think the last time was just before Christmas ☺️ Everything is going beyond what I ever expected… he is truly an amazing little fellow, so extremely attuned to me (and rest of family too) He’s still very earnest, and definitely has a few quirks 😆 but he ALWAYS tries to do the right thing… he’s so accommodating to visiting dogs and fits in seamlessly in most scenarios, he goes pretty much everywhere with me…(he’s extremely gentle and still quite timid) he loves going shopping in his pram after a little walk… basically he’s happy/content as long as he’s involved in what ever I’m doing 😆
He is fine at home by himself (it doesn’t happen often). He just waits patiently for me to get home.
One of his favourite things is to be snuggled into his favourite blanket (yes, he has a favourite blanket!!!! ) on my bed… he absolutely loves being cozy ! 😆
He sure has come a long way compared to the first few months !
I feel so extremely lucky to have him, especially after suddenly losing Champ last year… the grief has been overwhelming at times and Rusty is always there, right by my side! ❤️
