Billie came to us from near the NSW border, called Bullet, but he is definitely a Billy Bob.  He had only one eye and we suspect not a good story behind this but he is definitely a happy boy now.

Over six years ago, we welcomed little Billy Bob into our lives. We didn’t know everything he’d been through, but from the moment we met him, we knew he was something special.

Despite whatever life had thrown at him, he still trusted, still loved, and still wagged his tail like every day was a gift. It didn’t take long for this scruffy little boy to steal our hearts.

His favourite place? The front window – his throne. Perched there like a proud little sentinel, he watches the world roll by, always on alert – especially when the neighbourhood cats dare to stroll past his kingdom.

Billy Bob’s best friend in the world was Milly Lou. He loved her with all he had, so when she passed in 2024, there was a sadness in his heart we couldn’t quite reach. After fostering a few dogs, we’ve watched him slowly find his old spark again with newly adopted Molly. She’s brought light back into his eyes, and while no one could replace Milly Lou, Molly has become his new partner in tail-wagging crime.

Now, at 14 years young, Billy Bob is still the same sweet soul – curious, gentle, and full of love. He absolutely loves a good belly rub – offered by anyone, anywhere, anytime. Friends, strangers, delivery drivers – if you’ve got a free hand, Billy Bob will happily roll over and offer his belly like you’ve known each other forever.

Endless thanks to Victorian Dog Rescue for saving our beautiful boy and giving him the second chance he so truly deserved. Without you, none of this would have been possible – and we are forever grateful.
