Sam was bought off Gumtree, and then handed on to three different family members before he was surrendered to us. But no more moving for Sam.
“Sam is full of surprises and as more time goes by, he is becoming a different dog that came to us.
He walks now with several dogs at our park and goes up to most dogs for a hello and then stands quietly and calmly by our side while we chat.
Loves now sitting at a café and watching what goes on, just happy to sit and observe. There is no fuss and is very chilled. Still loves the car and gets excited if we are going out and about.
Sam mainly lies under my desk while l work and then enjoys ball throwing for a break throughout the day. We can take Sam to my sons place and he is so good, sits on his mat while we chat or wanders around outside, he loves visiting my elderly mum and he is very good with her, does not jump, just sits next to her waiting for a pat – so gentle.
My brothers dog now comes and Sam greets Pepper with no fuss, they have a play and then rest together. He also likes my sisters dog Molly and will actually sleep with her.
A big surprise, Sam loves water!! He jumped into next door neighbours pool while we were swimming, blows bubbles and floats around on the lounge (pics attached).
Loves playing with the sprinkler.
It shows be patient, give them space and put work in and the rewards will come. Sam is a joy, easy and so loved – we adore him.”
