NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.

Meet Mocha, a lovable and very friendly dog who enjoys nothing more than cuddling up close to you. He truly is a really beautiful dog.

Mocha has learnt quickly how to sit and stay at mealtimes. This is a good sign for other training such as toilet trains. He still has some indoor accidents but only because the current foster family doesn’t have a doggy door. He goes to the toilet on his walks.

This sweet pup loves attention and is happy to sit calmly on his bed becoming one of the family very quickly. He barks when there is a person at the door, but settles quickly. This trait is typical of his breed.

To help him feel secure, he sleeps in his dog bed close to his owners. He would prefer to cuddle up on the bed, but this is a personal preference of his new family. His foster family have his bed outside their bedroom door.

When it comes to other dogs, Mocha is friendly and loves to play. He does not attack, instead preferring to have a sniff, his tail always wagging. He is good with children, cats and as we said, enjoys the company of other dogs. He doesn’t chase a ball or stick but is happy to walk calmly on the lead. He does not pull. Mocha is completely fine with being picked up and cuddled. He loves his exercise and really needs two walks a day.

He’s adaptable and would fit in well in a variety of environments, whether it’s with a family, young or old, or with other dogs. All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
