Meet Basil – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Second Chance
Basil hasn’t been with us long, but he’s already made a quiet, tender impression on everyone who’s met him. This sweet boy is still finding his feet in the world—he’s had a past that’s clearly taught him to be cautious, and he’s slowly learning that life doesn’t have to be scary.
Right now, Basil is gently getting used to his new environment. Everyday sights and sounds are still a little overwhelming, so he’s not quite ready to explore far beyond the safety of home. Because of this, he hasn’t yet been tested with other dogs—but his world is gradually expanding as he gains confidence.
While he’s not too sure about cuddles just yet, Basil does enjoy a good pat and has already started showing signs of forming bonds with the humans around him. It’s in those small, quiet moments—a soft glance, a tentative tail wag—that you can see the beginnings of trust and connection.
Basil is looking for a calm, patient home where he’ll be given the time and gentle guidance he needs to blossom. With the right support, we believe he will become a truly loyal and loving companion.
Could you be the one to show Basil that life can be good?

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. All necessary vet work such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment is also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
