🌟 About Bodhi

Say hello to Bodhi, a gorgeous and goofy Groodle who’s overflowing with love, energy, and personality. Bodhi has spent his life as a well-loved companion and is now looking for his forever home where he can thrive with people who understand both his cuddly nature and his spirited ways.

🏡 Personality & Temperament

Bodhi is the definition of a people-dog. He adores being around his humans, following you from room to room and happily joining you on the couch or bed for cuddles. He’s social, friendly, and playful — but also cheeky and curious. You’ll often find him “investigating” laundry hampers (especially for socks!) or trying to snag something off the kitchen counter. Bodhi is house-trained and communicates when he needs to go outside by barking or gently licking your hand.

🐶 Compatibility

  • Other Dogs: ✅ Yes! Bodhi loves other dogs — especially those his own size and energy level. He’s very playful and would do best with a confident, active dog buddy who can match his enthusiasm.
  • Cats: ❌ No. Bodhi finds cats distressing and should not be placed in a home with them.
  • Children: ⚠️ Older children/teens are best. Bodhi is affectionate but a bit bouncy and might accidentally knock over smaller kids.

🚶‍♂️ Training & Activity

Bodhi is full of energy and thrives on regular exercise. He enjoys two long walks per day and time off-leash in a secure dog park. He walks well on lead, although he may try to chase birds or cats — a treat in your pocket and a calm redirect work well. His recall is fair in enclosed areas, but he’s best kept leashed in open or high-traffic areas.

While Bodhi hasn’t had formal obedience training, he’s a smart pup who would benefit from (and enjoy!) positive reinforcement training. A little structure would go a long way with this good-natured goofball.

🚗 Grooming & Travel

  • Grooming: Bodhi isn’t a fan of grooming or bath time, and especially dislikes hair dryers. Grooming is typically a two-person job, but he’s never aggressive — just a squirmer!
  • Car Travel: Anxious when the car is stopped, but otherwise calm and quiet in the back seat. He may need help getting in.

🚧 Other Things to Know

  • Bodhi can be an escape artist in unfamiliar places, so a secure yard is a must.
  • He may scratch at closed doors if you’re inside — he really loves being with his people.
  • He may leave behind “Bodhi streaks” on hallway walls from rubbing up against them (adorable, but something to note!).
  • Not a resource guarder — he’s happy to share his toys and food.
  • Loves couches, beds, and anywhere soft — he’s not one for “off the furniture” rules!

🏠 Ideal Home

Bodhi would thrive in a home with:

  • A secure backyard
  • Active owners who enjoy walks, park visits, and dog playdates
  • Another playful dog (preferred but not essential)
  • Older kids or dog-savvy teens
  • A family who’s home often and enjoys including their dog in daily life

Bodhi is a beautiful, loving boy with so much to offer. He just needs the right home to give him the guidance and freedom to be the silly, sweet companion he was born to be.
