NB: We do not rehome interstate or to applicants under 25. It is our policy not to rehome dogs in the Sunraysia area. As rescue groups have transported thousands of homeless dogs from Mildura and Sunraysia pounds over the last decade, we do not intend to send any back there.
Lovely May is new into our care and we are still getting to know her. Without much consistency in her life, she still has a lot to learn. As a young puppy, she is still discovering the world around her and learning where her boundaries lie. However, she really does want to please and do the right thing.
May is an active and clever girl who loves her food. She is capable of problem solving, especially where food is involved. May is all legs so can reach kitchen counters and benches. This also means she is very capable of training and learning new things.
May enjoys having a dog around and loves to play and cuddle with them. May also gets along well with cats and is living with two in her foster home. May likes to sit with them and give them kisses but she can get a bit excited if they run around. A good hiss is enough to get her to back off though. May is working on some of her basic training including house training.
May walks well on the lead and enjoys a walk, although she sometimes finds the outside world a bit scary. Meeting new people is also a worry for her but with some soft words and kindness she will be your friend for life. She is a confident girl at home so she will grow out of this fear with some consistency and support.
May is a gorgeous soul, who loves a cuddle on the couch and wants to please her family. She would suit a home where her family are willing to put in the effort into her training. A home with another dog friend and opportunity to burn her energy would be ideal. If your family sounds like the perfect fit for May, please get in touch.
