Chuckles and Sammy are best buddies and will be rehomed together.
Chuckles is a quiet, friendly and happy little cutie … just look at those big brown eyes! He takes a little bit of time to get to know new people, but once he does he shows his cuddly and lovable side and is looking forward to sharing many more cuddles with his forever family. Chuckles LOVES a trip in the car and knows how to nab the best seat in the middle to get the views and take in the sights. This little fluff is great on the lead and loves a daily walk or two with his family and buddy Sammy who always takes the lead – Chuckles is okay with that. Sammy may be his best friend, but Chuckles loves to play with other dogs too. He loves a trip to the dog park to meet other dogs and will run straight up to them to say ‘hello’ and engage them in a game of chasey. However, even the happiest of chappies can get a little annoyed sometimes. Usually this annoyance is directed as his pal Sammy, but hey all friendships have their ups and downs and his foster parents feel this is a learnt response as Sammy is 4kgs heavier and will try and steal Chuckles’ food or muscle his way past for a treat. But overall they get on like a house on fire and are a bonded pair.
Chuckles is house trained and he and Sammy sleep inside in their special den (room in the house), but do love to run out in the morning and bounce on their foster’s parents’ bed. His foster parents reckon he’s a pretty intelligent boy and would love and benefit from some further stimulation games. Showing off these skills he’ll give his foster mum a nudge to let her know he wants to sit on her lap and help her work … who needs to go into the office ever again with a work buddy like Chuckles!? No doubt once you meet Chuckles you’ll never want to leave his side.
Sammy is a bundle of energy and loves being around his humans. His enthusiasm makes his foster carers laugh a lot. Sammy will bark to let you know when someone is at the door, or the mailman is out the front, he’s very much the protector of the household. He will help you with the laundry, picking up any socks left on the floor. If it’s on the floor it’s his right? He loves to watch tv with his humans and will stay up as late as he can. He loves chasing the ball, he loves going on his walks. His walking needs work, he goes from left to right and pulls a bit on the leash. Currently he has two or three 20-30 minutes walks a day. It’s very hit and miss how Sammy is with other dogs. He gets on great with Chuckles, who he currently lives with. When it’s tv watching time, Sammy sits on the left of his human and Chuckles sits on the right, always their set positions. However, Sammy can be reactive with other dogs when out on his walks. Sammy knows the command sit, and stay (kind of with the latter). He loves going in the car and stands the whole time, doesn’t sit or lay down. Sammy is a high energy dog and a real character. He needs daily exercise, loves lots of attention, is very loyal and looks out for his own, keeping them safe. And he’s a handsome little devil to boot.
Need some spice in your life? Sammy and Chuckles think you do. Please fill out the application form. They can’t wait to meet you!

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
